Book Outlet's logo wasn't keeping up with where the brand was heading. Compared to other brands, it felt a bit stuck in time and held back the brand when it was trying to stand out and grab attention in a crowded market.
Before we even sketched anything out, we started with three core questions. These are the same ones we always ask for brand work, but this time applied to a retailer that already had a solid reputation and recognizable presence.
the redesign
A book icon with the remainder mark, paired with our wordmark in Red Hat Display. We've deepen the signature red that made our brand recognizable, but gave the mark itself a modern update that feels fresh and current.
